It is our responsibility to mold and mentor young men to be productive citizens and societal drum majors who possess integrity and character. It is our desire that at the end of the leadership program, our young men would be interested in pass it on to others.

Some children have more toys than they know what to do with, while others have few good toys to speak of. We strive to matchmake between tots and youngsters in need with our Christmas Blessing Program.

Bringing up a healthy and happy child is particularly challenging for underprivileged families dealing with children who have special needs. We offer support to these families, in the form of program referrals and other activities.

When school is over for the day, not all children have a comfortable environment to come home to. In our year-round recreational programs we have partnered with local recreation centers to provide a safe environment for young people to play, eat, and study.

The Jr. Nerds: KIDS Club: Designed for kids ages 5- 21 years old. This program focuses on key areas of personal development for the adolescent mind.

We have a partnered with local healthcare providers and professionals to offer assistance through HIV/AIDS testing, eye exams, mental health treatments, counseling, and many others.

Each year in July  we honor a select group of men and women who are making major contributions to our society and are considered our community "unsung".

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.

The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation. As a certifying organization, the 4 Brighter Futures Foundation is authorized to award Presidential Volunteer Awards for students ages 10 to young adults up to 25 and another category for adults over 26 years old.

This initiative recognizes young men under the age of 25 who are making positive strides within their communities and could use additional motivation. We provide the recipients with mentorship, a scholarship and a brand new pair of shoes.
